To sit, or not to sit.

This sad chair, have been int the house, as long as I can remember. I have always thought of it as a very ugly chair. 

And I do think that most of you, do agree with me. 

I decided, that with the time I have on my hand, basically do something. I really wouldn't like to sit on it. 

Don't you agree?

And this is the result:

I painted the chair white. As the brown one, was kind of hideous.. 

Glued old book marks on, most of them with pictures related to farming. or birds, or old nice flowers.

I didn't cover all the chair, or not even all the legs. Think it would have been far to much. 

And yes, on this chair I would sit. 

:)

Free range life

some new things

So some new things have been made in my house. 

Storage is always good, but boxes are ugly. I could always buy in some place like IKEA or likewise, but how nice and fun is that?

Have a home looking like everyone else. 

I don´t want that. 

So I made this:

I found a zinc bath, just in it´s zinc color.

Painted it white, glued on flowers. And it turned out like that.  

Banana boxes, are very ugly. So I made it like this instead out of it: 

I just covered it with some nice fabric. 

I also covered a smaller, old shoe box. Now filled with my small girls bed linen. 

Sweden

Oh gosh, then we are on the road again. 

In sweden to visit the family here. Will renovate a bathroom as well here. 

But for the first time, I do start to wonder if it can eb bad for her. 

Bad to my little girl, that she might need to be more in one place. 

She seems like she is very good, happy and active. But I can't help to wonder if she gets "rootless" from it.

I just met this interesting woman. I was almost mesmerised by her.

And met her, in the tram.   

And I felt a genuine interrest from her side, to talk to me. 

She was older, had old granchildren, but felt like a young spirit. 

She was excited about the fact that I sew, and redecoreate furnitures etc. etc. 

"Maybe we could do things together" she said. 

And no card did I have to give her, so she could contact me.

and just when we where gonna leave the tram she gave me her number. 

I jumped of the tram, and in the jump I shouted:

My name is Maria, and I will call you right now, so you have my number. 

Of the tram,when picked up all the kids, and stuff I was gonna call her. 

And there the said thing occured. 

I missed a didget. 

1 stupid stupid didget. 

Nieces

I have nieces visiting from Sweden here. 

After a tough start on the day, me being terribly tired it has just gone better.

Went swimming, fabric looking, and taco cooking. 

And a happiness, that my little girl get to know her cousins better, 

If it was spring and warm,  I would take them to the zoo. Don't feel like that in this cold. 

Any ideas?

I have been working some on a room for my little child. 

And finally it is done.

I found the chair. 

I just simply sowed of the legs. 

Painted a layer of white, and then a layer of green. 

Changed the fabric in it as well. 

I hung a coulorful fabric on the wall, instead of messy wallpaper or paint. 

I found the table as well, and shortened the legs. Painted it white, and glued on papers from a book. When it dried, I lacked it all, to last longer. 

So now, we made use if a room we had. From just nothing, to a cozy nice room for our daughter.

I have a camera, that I am borrowing for some time. 

Tons of things to show you that I have made. 

And even more inspiration for things to do.

not in ages!

Gosh, I haven't updated in ages. Not because I haven't had things to show or tell, but mostly because I think it is so boring to read blogs without pictures. 

Hence, I do not want to write a blog without it. And the entire idea with this blog is to show what I am sewing/doing. 

And as my camera went caput, I have been very silent. 

I will try to get it fixed the upcoming week. 

or save some money and get a new one. 

Until then, maybe someone has one for me to borrow? :)
